WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING :
120cm x 90cm canvas please make sure it fits into your car! Don’t buy a square canvas this needs to be portrait and this size.
Assorted paintbrushes some thick and some thin you can buy packets of brushes that have small and thicker styled brushes in them
palette or old plate or board – we use this to place all our paint on
Two old bed sheets or drop sheets – one is placed underneath your easel the other on your table *you will need an easel if not we can use a table and a wall to lean your canvas upon – try and borrow an easel from a friend
Plastic water container or glass jar to keep your brushes in so they don’t dry out
Inexpensive Oil pastels kid’s ones are just fine they must be oil based
You will need a minimum of 5 acrylic paints here are some Australian brands to look out for Winsor & Newton, Liquitex, Chromacryl, Derivan, A-2, Global, EC, Jo Sonja's, and Matisse.These are all good. Riot and craft have good sales on so look out for the sales. The more paint colours you bring the more opportunity you will have to play. If you have a bunch pf paints (kids poster paint) bring everything!!
250 mls black and a 250mls of white water-based house paint from Bunnings.
Spray paints – one black one white and 2 other colours – you can get these cheap at super cheap auto a pack of 4 cans for $10.
2 fabric doilies from the op shop
Wear old clothes and no expensive jewellery
Come with an open mind and an open heart trust and allow the magic within you to come to the surface if you can do this I will show you how to feel it and then paint it – its going to be a great day!
