Class list of supplies

Sounds like you're already a creative soul with some supplies. That's perfect. Here's what you'll need .

  • Canvas, 60 x 90 cm - they are usually 61 x 91cm to be exact.
  • Paint - I work with water based acrylics. These can include some house paints from Bunnings (I use house paint a lot) Please bring a minimum of 10 different colours of acrylic paint, the more paint, the more options, so mix things up
  • White and black paint. We use a white and a black to mix colours.
  • Pallet, any container or surface to hold or mix your paints this can be an old plate or chopping board, k-mart is good or the op shop or and old one from home.
  • Water dish/jar for cleaning your paint brushes
  • Paint brushes - bring a  minimum of four brushes, please include one large brush one small brush. Bringing about six different sizes is ideal.
  • Spray paint two cans of your favourite colours is fine. Bunnings is good or super cheap auto.
  • Oil pastels - kids ones are perfect one box is great as we draw and play.
  • Children's white chalk, you will only need one piece.
  • A few rags to wipe the paint and brushes.
  • Drop sheets you will need two, one for the floor and one for your table or workspace. This can be old bedsheets from the op shop or an industrial painting drop sheet from bunnings.
  • 3 to 4 doilies I love a good old doily - again op shops are perfect for these.
  • Fluro paint one tube of your favourite Fluro colour
  • One tube of your favourite metallic colour - example colours are silver or gold there's also pink and blues. These can be found in any cheap dollar shops.
  • An old towel or you can use your drop sheet for your car to take the painting home in case it's still a little wet.
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick or gel medium
  • Spray varnish if you wish to seal your work. This can be done after the workshop or at home. I like a matte varnish, not shiny.
