This piece is really simple — A cute small vase and two flowers. For me, my flowers seem to represent people, maybe a couple, maybe close friends — and the idea that you can grow in the same space without losing who you are.
I kept it minimal on purpose. There is extra detail, and a few distractions yet still very calming , and a quiet yet energetic feeling.
I wanted the focus to be on how the two forms relate to each other — touching, and clearly aware of one another. It’s about being close, being separate, and still choosing to be there, together.
So many abstract marks are in this piece and the edges to me are also very important.
